Joel R. Starke
Group Benefits Consultant |
As an executive and employee benefits consultant, Joel helps entrepreneurs and small business owners understand the ins and outs of their benefits.
Call it Minnesota nice (he grew up in Faribault and Mankato before attending St. John’s University) or simply a conviction to help others, but Joel calls it his mission. Having worked within the employee benefits space since 2011, he has long been aware of the disconnect that often exists between business owners and insurance brokers, particularly around value-added services like online enrollment, human resources and document management.
After meeting Greg Sailer, he realized he wasn’t the only one who felt the industry could do better. And he saw he could make a difference as part of the Sailer Benefit Services team. Since joining the brokerage in 2015, Joel has worked tirelessly to educate clients so they can make informed decisions about their benefit packages.
Joel is the type of person who appreciates the little things in life. He loves traveling with his wife, taking vacations with his family, and watching his kids learn and grow each day. Not surprisingly, he is passionate about developing young leaders. The beauty of a Minnesota lake never fails to take his breath away. He hopes to one day own a cabin on one, ideally near a challenging golf course.
